What is respite care?

It can be arranged in your own home, in the community through a day centre, or as an overnight or short stay in a residential aged care home. How respite care is funded
Much of the cost of respite care is government subsidised. Support at home can be arranged through the Commonwealth Home Support Programme or a Home Care Package, while residential respite is subsidised for eligible people for up to 63 days each financial year.
