Whenever I first speak to an intending client, invariably, I sense their fear and confusion surrounding the reality facing them. Having to place a loved one into permanent aged care or respite care is a daunting prospect that we never thought we would have to confront.

No-one goes into, or places a loved one, in aged care because you want to. Rather it is because you have been told, and you know, that you or they need a higher level of care than can be provided at home.

We can help you navigate the aged care system. Whether it be completing the Department of Human Services (Centrelink) documentation, arranging for the completion of an enduring power of attorney or guardianship, applying to the State Administrative Tribunal for administration or guardianship orders, and most importantly finding and negotiating the terms of contract for the perfect place for your loved one.

I visit and inspect facilities in Perth regularly and observe how the staff interact with residents. I speak with many residents themselves to get a sense of what that facility is about. After a client has moved into a facility I keep in touch with them or their loved ones to get their direct feedback on their experiences at the chosen facility. It is my mission to ensure that they are happy and well cared for in their chosen facility.

Even clients seeking advice on home care packages or looking to move into a retirement village feel vulnerable because there is so much information to absorb and decisions need to be made quickly.

It is because I constantly seek to learn more about the aged care system that we can confidently reassure each client we can say that we know all about aged care.
